I have always enjoyed water life. My family had an aquarium and pond when I was very young. I set up my first tank aged 14, and have kept fish ever since. I have been lucky enough to work with many very knowledgeable people, gaining invaluable experience and a hands-on education from some of the best in the industry, giving me the confidence to start a business as an independent aquatic contractor in late 2019.
I worked in aquatic retail part-time during my teens, and then full time for almost a decade, including managing a successful aquarium store for a well known national chain. These days I offer consultancy, design, maintenance and installation of aquariums, ponds and water features, using my experience to help others achieve their goals. At this stage in my career I have 20 years experience in the trade, and I have encountered and overcome many of the challenges faced by aquarium and pond keepers. As such I am well versed on modern techniques and equipment, and am able to help my clients overcome challenging situations and complex problems.
I hold OATA (ornamental aquatic trade association) qualifications in fish health, water chemistry, filtration techniques and fish biology, so you can be confident that your fish are in good hands!
